Information on climate-friendly travel
To Vienna
Arriving by train
Please use public transportation to travel to Vienna! Please find the schedule information of the federal railway here.
You can reach the venue from both the main station "Hauptbahnhof" and the station "Westbahnhof" within approximately 20 minutes. Details about the Vienna Lines can be found below.
Arriving at the airport

By train „Schnellbahn – S7“: Trains to station “Wien Mitte/Landstraße” (connections to U3, U4) run at intervals of 30 minutes; the ride takes approx. 25 minutes

InterCity & Railjet: Trains to station “Wien Hauptbahnhof” (connection to U1, 20 minutes) or station “Wien Meidling” (connection to U6, 30 minutes) run at intervals of approx. 30 minutes

By CAT (City Airport Train): Trains to station “Wien Mitte/Landstraße” (connections to U3, U4 ) run at intervals of 30 minutes; the ride takes only 16 minutes

By bus: Buses VAL 1 run at intervals of 60 minutes in front of the arrivals’ area of the airport: the ride to station “Wien Hauptbahnhof” (connections to U1); the ride takes approx. 25 minutes

By taxi: the ride takes approx. 20 minutes to the city center
Arriving by car
If you are reliant on a car, we recommend using the Park & Ride facilities on the outskirts of the city. Please note that the whole city of Vienna has short-term parking zones until 10 pm (limited to 2 hours). Parking vouchers, available at tobacconists (“Trafik”), are required.

To the venue
Arriving on foot
The venue is centrally located, within walking distance from many hotels.
Arriving by public transport
The event location TU Wien (Karlsplatz 13, 1040 Vienna) in the center of Vienna is easily accessible within a few minutes from public transportation (underground lines U1, U4; tramway lines D, J, 1, 2, 62, 65; and bus lines 4A, 59A). The schedule information for the Vienna Lines can be found here.
Arriving by bicycle
Cycling can also be a good way to travel the distance between hotel and event location. There is a bicycle parking facility with sufficient spaces in the immediate vicinity.
